New Drive-Thru, PEEC, a good Play ... plus Cats!

From Linda Ferris at the Y (via Facebook): A "young driver" hit the gas instead of the brake and went through our front window in Weight Room...THANKFULLY no one was hurt, no one at that side of the room--driver OK, machines OK...just a bunch of broken glass. Katie, Keith and Erik did the clean up! Youngster does have insurance...not sure who with : )

From PEEC:

Dear PEEC Friends and Supporters:

Los Alamos County is beginning a master planning process to determine the best site and arrangement of facilities for a new County nature center.  Your knowledge and insights are part of the process.  Catalyst Architecture of Prescott, Arizona, is leading a team of site, facility, interpretive, and landscape planners in this work.  They have asked for community information from this short survey.

The three possible locations are the current PEEC site; the old skateboard park site (between the Aquatic Center and the Jewish Center on Canyon Road, currently a county storage area); the east end of the Canyon Rim Trail, across the road from the Coop Market.  You may Google-map them at http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=214858812967480699259.0004b099ebc58cfb95297&msa=0

To take the Survey Monkey of 10 short fill-in the blanks and ranking questions (and you don't have to answer all the questions), go to

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XWS87KN

Please submit your Survey Monkey by next Wednesday so that the planning team can include it in their work.

AND THEN!  PLEASE COME!
PEEC Public Meeting for the CIP process
6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, at Fuller Lodge.

Agenda:

1.  Information on site selection--where?
2.  Sustainability options--how green?
3.  Building program--what do we need/want?

Show your support for PEEC and participate in the planning!
Thanks for your help and support at this critical juncture in PEEC's history!

We took the Parents to see the latest play on Saturday Night at the Little Theater. This is a good one. We all really enjoyed it and my father didn't fall asleep during any of it!  Don't let the last act fool you. There is a twist at the end.
