Christmas Lights

Update (8:30pm): Went down to White Rock for some Pizza at Time Out Pizza and then went and saw the light show. It's actually inspirational. The timing of the lights to the music is fantastic. The music comes through in perfect stereo on your car's FM player. Great Job. Get down there to see this one! Added a map to the place.

Update (5:45pm): See bottom of post for message from County on turning off street lights for Christmas light viewing.

I don't know about you, but I've notice this year that there seem to be fewer Christmas lights up than I have seen in past years. I was excited to receive the following message .....

Greg,

The last couple of years I have started putting music to my Christmas light display.  Last year we had 16 computerized channels this year we're up to 80 channels.  I'm trying to get the word out to Los Alamos community to drive by and enjoy the music and lights.  We live on 334 Garver Lane in White Rock, so if you can get the word out on [KRSN AM 1490] and blog it would be great.  I've attached a link to our Youtube video as well.

Note: There are about 11 videos to different songs on Youtube by the Hollabaughs.

Here is a map to the house (South on Rover, Left on Grand Canyon, Right on Catherine, Left on Garver Lane and house on left about 8 houses down).

Streetlights Turned Off for Farolitos

The Los Alamos County Transportation Division will be turning off the power to various streetlights to enhance the viewing of holiday farolitos. Due to the long holiday weekend, the streetlights will be turned off Friday, December 23rd and will be restored on Tuesday, December 27th
For safety purposes, the Transportation Division requests that all vehicles and trailers be moved to off street parking during the full period that lights will be off. If this is not possible, it is recommended that the vehicles and trailers be silhouetted by farolitos. Due to the limited sight visibility during the viewing, drivers are requested to travel the viewing areas at 15 miles per hour.
Streetlights will be turned off for these areas and streets:
Los Alamos:
Barranca Mesa - Barranca Rd, Los Pueblos (including side streets), San Juan, Totavi, Navajo Rd
North Mesa - Camino Redondo, Camino Medio, Cumbres Patio
White Rock:
Canada Way, Canada Circle, Balboa Drive, Alhambra Drive, Barcelona Avenue, Brighton Drive, Briston Place
